Things are starting to fall into place. Summer has arrived in SF, midterm exams are in full effect, and in less than 3 weeks I am taking Part I of the National Board Exams (which is part of my license as a chiropractor). The only thing that’s been lacking is the climbing. I’ve only been going to the gym about 3 times a week which doesn’t feel like enough climbing. Don’t worry though, I am getting back on the program again and I’m kicking off with the TBS 6 competition at Berkeley Ironworks this Saturday. Sunday I am planning on going to Yosemite for the first time since early Spring. Even if it’s hot it will be so good to be there. It really feels like home to me. We are headed there for some photos and a little video shoot that should be pretty cool. My friend Colin is doing the video and he’s really talented. If you haven’t seen his stuff check it out on DPM. I’m also excited to scope out projects for this fall.
In 4 weeks I will be headed to Boston for the Nor’easter, the Unified Bouldering Championships PRO Tour finale. After that I am hoping to spend some time in Rumney for a bit of east coast sport climbing. It’s been a long time since I’ve gone on a climbing trip that was longer than an extended weekend and outside of California so it’s going to be fun to get away and actually enjoy what little time off I have in a totally new place. While 4 weeks doesn’t seem like a long time to wait the reality is that it feels like its an eternity from now because so much is happening and has to happen between now and then. I have a lot going on in my life right now and it feels like my plate is pretty full but that’s ok because I have a big appetite. Just trying to live life one day at a time for now and get it done.
And now, without further ado, some photos of the last couple weeks…
